De Stem van Dordt 15-jan 2014
Dordtse studenten gaan de lokale bevolking in Bamenda helpen in onder meer ziekenhuizen en scholen.
DORDRECHT - Acht studenten van het Da Vinci College in Dordrecht gaan eind maart naar Bamenda in Kameroen om daar stage te lopen.
Ze gaan onder meer in ziekenhuizen en op scholen de lokale bevolking helpen. Dordrecht heeft een stedenband met Bamenda.
Vrijdag 28 maart is het zover. Dan gaat een groep studenten naar Bamenda, vertelt André Schoonhoven, coördinator International Office van het Da Vinci College.
“Een drietal volgt de opleiding Verpleegkunde, drie studenten volgen de opleiding tot Onderwijsassistent en daarnaast nog twee studenten, Pedagogisch en één Maatschappelijke Zorg. Allemaal zorg- en welzijn dus.
Zij gaan meehelpen in een ziekenhuis, bij een weeshuis en een school, bijvoorbeeld.
Het is gewoon een stage, net als in Nederland, maar dan in een andere omgeving. Waardoor je kansen krijgt die je anders niet zou krijgen. Het zijn uitdagende omstandigheden; de kans om te leren is heel groot.”
De studenten blijven tien tot twaalf weken in Kameroen. “Het zal een hele schok zijn om in zo’n andere cultuur terecht te komen, maar de studenten worden goed begeleid en hun veiligheid staat voorop.
Er gaat ook een docent techniek mee, die gaat kijken wat de mogelijkheden daar zijn op het gebied van Bouw en Techniek. Want we merken dat daar vraag naar is vanuit de mensen in Bamenda.
Het moet een duurzaam project worden. We gaan er van uit dat dit de eerste stap is in een meerjarige samenwerking”, aldus André Schoonhoven.

De Stem van Dordt 15-jan 2014
Dordtse studenten gaan de lokale bevolking in Bamenda helpen in onder meer ziekenhuizen en scholen.
DORDRECHT - Acht studenten van het Da Vinci College in Dordrecht gaan eind maart naar Bamenda in Kameroen om daar stage te lopen.
Ze gaan onder meer in ziekenhuizen en op scholen de lokale bevolking helpen. Dordrecht heeft een stedenband met Bamenda.
Vrijdag 28 maart is het zover. Dan gaat een groep studenten naar Bamenda, vertelt André Schoonhoven, coördinator International Office van het Da Vinci College.
“Een drietal volgt de opleiding Verpleegkunde, drie studenten volgen de opleiding tot Onderwijsassistent en daarnaast nog twee studenten, Pedagogisch en één Maatschappelijke Zorg. Allemaal zorg- en welzijn dus.
Zij gaan meehelpen in een ziekenhuis, bij een weeshuis en een school, bijvoorbeeld.
Het is gewoon een stage, net als in Nederland, maar dan in een andere omgeving. Waardoor je kansen krijgt die je anders niet zou krijgen. Het zijn uitdagende omstandigheden; de kans om te leren is heel groot.”
De studenten blijven tien tot twaalf weken in Kameroen. “Het zal een hele schok zijn om in zo’n andere cultuur terecht te komen, maar de studenten worden goed begeleid en hun veiligheid staat voorop.
Er gaat ook een docent techniek mee, die gaat kijken wat de mogelijkheden daar zijn op het gebied van Bouw en Techniek. Want we merken dat daar vraag naar is vanuit de mensen in Bamenda.
Het moet een duurzaam project worden. We gaan er van uit dat dit de eerste stap is in een meerjarige samenwerking”, aldus André Schoonhoven.

De Stem van Dordt 15-jan 2014
Dordtse studenten gaan de lokale bevolking in Bamenda helpen in onder meer ziekenhuizen en scholen.
DORDRECHT - Acht studenten van het Da Vinci College in Dordrecht gaan eind maart naar Bamenda in Kameroen om daar stage te lopen.
Ze gaan onder meer in ziekenhuizen en op scholen de lokale bevolking helpen. Dordrecht heeft een stedenband met Bamenda.
Vrijdag 28 maart is het zover. Dan gaat een groep studenten naar Bamenda, vertelt André Schoonhoven, coördinator International Office van het Da Vinci College.
“Een drietal volgt de opleiding Verpleegkunde, drie studenten volgen de opleiding tot Onderwijsassistent en daarnaast nog twee studenten, Pedagogisch en één Maatschappelijke Zorg. Allemaal zorg- en welzijn dus.
Zij gaan meehelpen in een ziekenhuis, bij een weeshuis en een school, bijvoorbeeld.
Het is gewoon een stage, net als in Nederland, maar dan in een andere omgeving. Waardoor je kansen krijgt die je anders niet zou krijgen. Het zijn uitdagende omstandigheden; de kans om te leren is heel groot.”
De studenten blijven tien tot twaalf weken in Kameroen. “Het zal een hele schok zijn om in zo’n andere cultuur terecht te komen, maar de studenten worden goed begeleid en hun veiligheid staat voorop.
Er gaat ook een docent techniek mee, die gaat kijken wat de mogelijkheden daar zijn op het gebied van Bouw en Techniek. Want we merken dat daar vraag naar is vanuit de mensen in Bamenda.
Het moet een duurzaam project worden. We gaan er van uit dat dit de eerste stap is in een meerjarige samenwerking”, aldus André Schoonhoven.

De Stem van Dordt 15-jan 2014
Dordtse studenten gaan de lokale bevolking in Bamenda helpen in onder meer ziekenhuizen en scholen.
DORDRECHT - Acht studenten van het Da Vinci College in Dordrecht gaan eind maart naar Bamenda in Kameroen om daar stage te lopen.
Ze gaan onder meer in ziekenhuizen en op scholen de lokale bevolking helpen. Dordrecht heeft een stedenband met Bamenda.
Vrijdag 28 maart is het zover. Dan gaat een groep studenten naar Bamenda, vertelt André Schoonhoven, coördinator International Office van het Da Vinci College.
“Een drietal volgt de opleiding Verpleegkunde, drie studenten volgen de opleiding tot Onderwijsassistent en daarnaast nog twee studenten, Pedagogisch en één Maatschappelijke Zorg. Allemaal zorg- en welzijn dus.
Zij gaan meehelpen in een ziekenhuis, bij een weeshuis en een school, bijvoorbeeld.
Het is gewoon een stage, net als in Nederland, maar dan in een andere omgeving. Waardoor je kansen krijgt die je anders niet zou krijgen. Het zijn uitdagende omstandigheden; de kans om te leren is heel groot.”
De studenten blijven tien tot twaalf weken in Kameroen. “Het zal een hele schok zijn om in zo’n andere cultuur terecht te komen, maar de studenten worden goed begeleid en hun veiligheid staat voorop.
Er gaat ook een docent techniek mee, die gaat kijken wat de mogelijkheden daar zijn op het gebied van Bouw en Techniek. Want we merken dat daar vraag naar is vanuit de mensen in Bamenda.
Het moet een duurzaam project worden. We gaan er van uit dat dit de eerste stap is in een meerjarige samenwerking”, aldus André Schoonhoven.

Ze gaan onder meer in ziekenhuizen en op scholen de lokale bevolking helpen. Dordrecht heeft een stedenband met Bamenda.
Vrijdag 28 maart is het zover. Dan gaat een groep studenten naar Bamenda, vertelt André Schoonhoven, coördinator International Office van het Da Vinci College.
“Een drietal volgt de opleiding Verpleegkunde, drie studenten volgen de opleiding tot Onderwijsassistent en daarnaast nog twee studenten, Pedagogisch en één Maatschappelijke Zorg. Allemaal zorg- en welzijn dus.
Zij gaan meehelpen in een ziekenhuis, bij een weeshuis en een school, bijvoorbeeld.
Het is gewoon een stage, net als in Nederland, maar dan in een andere omgeving. Waardoor je kansen krijgt die je anders niet zou krijgen. Het zijn uitdagende omstandigheden; de kans om te leren is heel groot.”
De studenten blijven tien tot twaalf weken in Kameroen. “Het zal een hele schok zijn om in zo’n andere cultuur terecht te komen, maar de studenten worden goed begeleid en hun veiligheid staat voorop.
Er gaat ook een docent techniek mee, die gaat kijken wat de mogelijkheden daar zijn op het gebied van Bouw en Techniek. Want we merken dat daar vraag naar is vanuit de mensen in Bamenda.
Het moet een duurzaam project worden. We gaan er van uit dat dit de eerste stap is in een meerjarige samenwerking”, aldus André Schoonhoven.
